Spring Antiques Fair – Negreni

The fair with a tradition of several centuries is held each spring on the second weekend of June, on the banks of the Crişul Repede river, in Negreni. The village lies on E60 road, almost halfway between Oradea and Cluj, 30 km from Sâncraiu. The date marks the beginning of mowing the hay, hence the name Mowers Fair. The fair consists of two parts: one resembles the general market, as known in Romania, they sell clothes, shoes, and other new items. The other part is antique lovers’ heaven, anyone can find a treasure in the wide variety of folk costumes, books, furniture, tools, painting, items designed from home weaved fabric, old tiles, etc. One could spend days wandering around this part of the market. The fair enjoys a large popularity with visitors from Hungary and all over Europe.

– Accommodation, half board: 42 EUR / person/day
– Single room: + 10 EUR / person/day
Note:
– the accommodation and meals are provided by Hungarian families in Sâncraiu. There is usually one bathroom belonging to two room
-during their trips the tourists travel by their own vehicles. On request you can rent a minibus or a jeep
